Wizz Air launches flights from Estonia to Georgia

A new flight was made from Tallinn to Kutaisi International Airport in Georgia,Trendreports citing the Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

So far, direct flights between Estonia and Georgia were not carried out.

The first passengers of the flight at Kutaisi International Airport were given symbolic gifts.

Since September 10, Wizz Air has gradually launched new international flights from Kutaisi International Airport - direct regular flights began in Basel, Copenhagen, Brussels, Tallinn, Eindhoven, Bari and Poznan.


Wizz Air started flying from Kutaisi International Airport in 2012. In September 2016, the first airline base was opened at Kutaisi International Airport.

In May 2017, Kutaisi International Airport added a second Wizz Air base and the five most popular destinations in Europe. In 2018, Wizz Air transported 95 percent of passengers in Kutaisi International Airport (587,643 passengers).
