Jordan, Egypt discuss trade cooperation

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept. 11 (Petra) -- Jamal Abdel Mawla, representative of the construction sector at the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), on Wednesday discussed with Trade Minister Plenipotentiary of Egypt, Abeer Kamal, the mechanisms of developing bilateral trade relations.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects of joint trade cooperation that serve the Jordanian-Egyptian integration strategy and the common interests.
According to a JCC press release, Abdel Mawla voiced the Chamber's keenness on promoting Jordanian products in foreign market, boosting trade relations, and addressing any obstacles facing the flow of goods, expressing hope the next phase will see more "fruitful" economic cooperation.
The relations between the Jordanian and Egyptian private sectors are "distinguished and strategic" at various levels, he said, underlining the importance of exploring new trade opportunities to serve mutual interests, especially under the current difficult economic conditions in the Middle East.
