Police: gunmen abduct 4 people in Nigeria's Kaduna

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Nigerian police emphasized that four people were abducted by unknown gangsters while they were travelling along the Kaduna-Abuja highway in central Nigeria over the past weekend.

The spokesperson for the police in Kaduna, Yakubu Sabo, informed reporters that a number of equipped men in military uniform on Saturday interrupted a bus at Rijana, a village along the central Nigerian highway, and kidnapped six passengers into the bush.

Sabo stated that after receiving a distressed call, the police patrol squads who were close to the location of the incident were quickly mobilized where they engaged the hoodlum and in the process were able to rescue two individuals from being abducted.

He added that the assailants managed to abduct the other four.
