(MENAFN) On Tuesday, the Iraqi Health Ministry emphasized that as many as 31 people were murdered and 100 more injures as a result of stampede occurred during a religious ceremony in the southern province of Karbala.
Health Ministry spokesperson affirmed in a statement, "At least 31 people were killed and 100 others injured in the incident".
Al-Bader emphasized that 10out of the 100 wounded are in a serious condition.
Formerly, , a security source emphasizing in condition of secrecy, informed Anadolu Agency that as many as 31 people were murdered and scores more wounded in a walkway collapse during the Ashura ceremony in Karbala.
