Turkey launches airstrike in N. Iraq, neutralizes 2 PKK terrorists


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, the Turkish Defense Ministry stated that Turkish warplanes managed to neutralize as many as two PKK terrorists in northern Iraq.

The ministry emphasized in a Twitter post that two PKK terrorists were "neutralized" in the air raids conducted in Metina region, in collaboration with the continuing Operation Claw - Turkey's anti-terror operation against the PKK.

The ministry emphasized that Turkey's anti-terror operation resulted in complete damaging to weapon emplacements and shelters used by the PKK terrorists.

Turkish government frequently uses the word "neutralized" in statements to indicate that the terrorists in question either surrendered or were murdered or arrested.
