The devices, dubbed iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, stunned the crowd with their mind-boggling capabilities, cameras, and battery life.

But, the strange part is, they are also triggering a weird sense of fear, called 'trypophobia,' for some people.

Here's all you need to know about it.

Problem
Many people are scared of clusters, small holes
Many people are scared of clusters, small holes

Trypophobia can be described as an aversion to clusters, particularly those made from small holes.

It is not a mental disorder but can be classified as a broad form of phobia if the clusters lead to fear, stress, or panic.

Notably, some 16% people suffer from the condition as they may see clusters as markings of dangerous animals or process of decomposition/infestation.

Issue
And now, iPhone 11 cameras are triggering trypophobia

The new iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max look pretty decent in terms of capabilities, but their back incorporates a square-ish camera module with three separate rear cameras.

Now, this arrangement of shooters is exactly what is triggering trypophobia, a number of Apple fans complained on Twitter after the phone first got unveiled at the event.

Many say they would give the new iPhone a pass

Though we never loved the design Apple has chosen for iPhone 11 cameras, the issue of trypophobia has led many into concluding they would give the new device a pass.

One person wrote on Twitter, "Y'all can keep this 3-eyed demon phone" while another claimed "there's no chance that I'll have new phone envy about this iPhone 11. It's hideous and triggers my trypophobia."

Now, that's not a good news for Apple

Apple hasn't commented on the matter of iPhone 11 triggering the fear of holes.

However, the issue, which was alsocausedby HMD Global's Nokia 9, will definitely not do a lot of good to the company.

Apple is already struggling to sell iPhones and, with people fearing their latest releases, it could be really difficult for the company to lure new takers.

Anyway, how capable are Apple's cameras

To note, the Pro models of iPhone 11 family come with a triple camera setup comprising a 12MP (f/1.8) wide-angle lens, a 12MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens, and a new 12MP (f/2.0) ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, all models feature 12MP selfie snappers.
