(MENAFN) On Sunday, the Speaker of Saudi Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh arrived in Sri Lanka an official visit upon the invitation of the Speaker of Sri Lankan Parliament Karu Jayasuriya.
The speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament, Saudi Ambassador to Sri Lanka Abdul Nasser Al-Harthy and many high-ranking officials welcomed him.
In a press statement, Sheikh Dr. Al Al-Sheikh praised Saudi-Sri Lankan bilateral ties, which have been built depending on the cooperation under the auspices of the leaderships of the both nations, praising the remarkable growth of bilateral ties between the both nations.
He affirmed that the Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka share vital aspect of fighting terrorism which is not linked to religion or race.
