Oman Air cancels over 300 flights

Oman Air has cancelled over 300 flights between September 1 and October 1.


Some of the affected destinations are Salalah, Riyadh, Dammam, Doha, Jeddah, Medina, Amman, Tehran, Athens, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Karachi, Colombo and Kathmandu among others.
'As a result of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation's (PACA) directive on suspending operations of Boeing 737 Max, we have cancelled many flights till October 1. We are rebooking guests on alternative/next available flights to their destinations. We advise all our guests who are due to travel during the period to check flight status on https://www.omanair.com/ or contact our call centre +96824531111,' Oman Air stated.
Following the involvement of Ethiopian Airlines' Boeing 737 Max 8 jet crash on March 10, PACA had grounded all aircraft of the series on March 12.
In a statement, PACA had said, 'We are temporarily suspending operations of Boeing 737 Max aircraft into and out of all Omani airports until further notice.'
