Qatar's Al Attiyah set to take part in Lebanon International Rally


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) QNABeirut:  Qatar's Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah leads the list of the 42nd Lebanon International Rally, the third round of the Middle East Rally Championship 2019, which will see participation of 27 teams from Lebanon and other Arab countries including Qatar. Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and France.

The Automobile and Touring Club of Lebanon announced the list of drivers, navigators and their cars participating in the three-day Lebanon International Rally, which will be held from tomorrow.

The total distance of the rally, which constitutes the third round of the Middle East Rally Championship this year is 645.24 km, of which 215.94 km length of the special stages of the speed of 11 stages.

Al Attiyah is in the third round of the Middle East Championship and leads the overall standings with 77 points, in front of compatriot Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, with 61 points, who will miss this round, while Kuwaiti Meshari Al Dhafiri is on third spot with 33 points.

After the end of the Lebanon Rally, the Middle East Championship will be completed with the Cyprus Rally (27-29 September), before ending with the Kuwait International Rally ( October 31 - November 2).
