Houthi attack leaves 25 Yemeni soldiers dead

A Yemeni military official said that about 25 Yemeni government soldiers died on Tuesday in a big attack carried out by the Houthi rebels in Saada province in the northern part of the country.

An anonymous military official said that "The Houthi group set up an ambush for a number of advancing military units of the government forces in Saada's eastern area of Kataf".

He as well added that 25 military personnel died in the attack and many were left wounded, as well as a number of soldiers were abducted by the Houthis.

Intense armed battled have been undergoing near Kataf for the 3rd day in a row, according to the governor of Saada, Hadi Tarshan.
