Typhoon Bailu injuries 2 in Taiwan


Local authorities in Taiwan said that typhoon Bailu hit Taiwan on Saturday afternoon, resulting in 2 injureies and cutting power off more than 50,000 households.

The typhoon was monitored to be centered at sea around 20 km northwest of Kaohsiung and had a speed of 24 km per hour as it headed northwestward at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Emergency response authority said that more than 300 flights and 200 sea voyages were cancelled on 4 p.m., 14 sites were flooded and more than 450 people were evacuated.
