UK's Johnson urges U.S. trade restrictions removal

(MENAFN) British Prime Minister sent an appeal for the United States to remove its restrictions on businesses of the UK, saying that such a move would lead to a UK-U.S. trade agreement.

There were "very considerable barriers in the US to British businesses," the British prime minister emphasized.

Johnson confirmed that he engaged in talks with U.S. President Trump over the matter, pointing out that "there are massive opportunities for UK companies to open up, to prise open the American market."

He added: "we intend to seize those opportunities but they are going to require our American friends to compromise and to open up their approach, because currently there are too many restrictions."
