Jordan- Hot weather forecast until Monday, drop in temps Tuesday


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 25 (Petra) -- Relatively hot conditions are expected to prevail Sunday in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds in the eastern regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Daytime temperatures forecast for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 34 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 22 at night. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 40 degrees and lows standing at 29, the JMD said.
Similar weather conditions will remain on Monday with clouds at various altitudes and northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
On Tuesday, mercury levels will drop few degrees, bringing normal summer conditions in the highlands and the plains, while it will stay hot in the Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with northwesterly moderate winds, it further added.
