(MENAFN) At the age of 66, Former Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley passed away in the Indian capital on Saturday.
From 2014 to 2019, Jaitley was a cabinet minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first government.
As well as being the finance minister, he also held the Defence portfolio for some months; he also excused himself from being inducted into the cabinet in Modi's new government citing health matters.
Jaitley was admitted to hospital on Aug. 9 over Shortness of breath.
