(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage was today appointed as the new Army Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army.
He replaces Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva who was appointed as the new Army Commander recently.
Major General Liyanage was earlier the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) at the SLAVF Headquarters in Kosgama.
