Explosion in Iraq results in 4 deaths, 30 injuries

An Iraqi Interior Ministry source said that four people died and 30 others were wounded on Friday as a motorcycle exploded in Babil town to the south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

An anonymous source said that the explosion happened in the evening when a booby trap motorcycle blasted in a crowded marketplace in al-Mussayab town around 80 km to the south of Baghdad.

Several shops were destroyed in the explosion and nearby cars and buildings suffered damage.

The Babil provincial health department released a statement saying that 39 people suffered different wounds by the explosion and were sent to hospitals.
