(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has called on Russia and the forces it supports to complete mine clearance near the bridge near Stanytsia Luhanska.

'We're encouraged by reports that Ukraine has completed its mine clearance near the Stanytsia Luhanska bridge. We call on Russia and the forces it backs to do the same and support further steps, including dismantling of fortifications, that will allow for the full repair of the bridge at Stanytsia Luhanska, and to respect Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, reads the statement.
As Ukrinform reported, the Ukrainian side had already informed Ambassador Martin Sajdik about the completion of mine clearance near the Stanytsia Luhanska bridge.
