Sri Lanka- Champika tells CMC to do its job without blaming others

(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Champika Ranawaka today called on the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) to do its job without just blaming others.

Ranawaka said that the CMC must join the process to convert Colombo into a clean city.

"Instead of blaming others they must ensure their responsibility to the city is met," he said.

Ranawaka was speaking at the launch of a passenger boat service at the Beira Lake which will operate from Union Place to Colombo Fort.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was the chief guest at the launch of the boat service.

The Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development said that more boats will be added to the service, including boats to transport goods.
