Local afghan source said on Thursday that 20 activists died in an airstrike in Balkh province in the northern part of Afghanistan.
Spokesman of army Corps 209 Shaheen, Hanif Rezai, said that "Acting on a confirmed intelligence report, Afghan Air Force launched a strike on a Taliban hideout in surrounding areas of Zarah district on Wednesday, killing 20 militants".
20 motorcycles were also destroyed in the attack along with explosives and ammunition.
