Over 70 million in China suffer from natural disasters

The Chinese Ministry of Emergency Management released data that showed the reoccurring natural disasters such as typhoons and floods have affected over 71.8 million people in China since June, resulting in 627 dead or missing.

Wrecking buildings and ruining crops, the disasters have resulted in an economic loss valued of USD30.5 billion since the 1st of June.

Heavy downpours and floods have devastated the south while powerful typhoons caused significant damage in the east.

The country has assigned USD49 millions to areas affected by the disasters as away to reduce damage and support reconstruction.
