Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Ihor Nasalyk announced this at a briefing on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
'If Russia completely blocks the supply of nuclear fuel to us, we are self-sufficient to operate without these supplies. If I had said that two years ago, everyone would have laughed at me. Today it's a fact, the minister said.
He suggested that Ukraine, together with Westinghouse Company, would be able to complete the construction of its own nuclear fuel plant.
