17 Syrian nationals detained in Lebanon

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Lebanon's state security forces rounded up 17 Syrian nationals over their unlawful entry to Lebanon, an online independent newspaper reported.

According to Elnashra, the Syrian nationals, who were detained in Sowayri, Bekaa, were later transferred to judicial bodies for probes.

The Lebanese forces are spending high efforts to crack down on smuggling in regions near the border with Syria.

The government has also placed further restrictions on the entry of Syrian refugees into the nation without guarantors, work visas or visas for transit.
