(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Germany's Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer reiterated her nation's keenness to continue its collaboration with Iraq over fighting terrorism.
The German minister made her comments at a joint press conference with her Iraqi counterpart Najah al-Shammari in Baghdad, after their meeting to confer military and intelligence collaboration in addition to training of Iraqi equipped forces.
She stated, "It is true that Islamic State (IS) group militarily was defeated in all areas, but the group still exists, and we want to help you defeat it once and for all".
The minister emphasized that Germany has been providing logistic support to Iraq and has intelligence collaboration with Iraqi security forces in order to get rid of terrorism.
