Kandahar provincial governor in Afghanistan said that 21 activists of Taliban were apprehended in Kandahar.
He was quoted saying that the "National Directorate of Security (NDS), the country's primary intelligence agency arrested 21 Taliban militants within the past 10 days in various parts of Kandahar province".
The captured were discovered to have been involved in terrorism in Kandahar and neighboring regions.
The security situation has gotten better in Kandahar, the previous stronghold of Taliban, in the past few months as security forces have carried out search and cordon operations across the province.
