Myanmar police force said on Wednesday that 3 police personnel died and 3 others were wounded in a landmine attack launched by the Arakan Army on a police convoy in the state of Rakhine.
The incident took place on Yangon-Sittway highway that falls close to the village of Pat Kwet, 3 police cars were damaged in the attack.
The police vehicles were holding a group of police officers returning to Sittway the state capital after holding security operations in Mrauk U trown.
The police said that the military were clearing the area after the attack.
