(MENAFN) Israeli airline Arkia declared the launch of the first direct flight service between the country and Kochi and Goa, coastal cities in India, effective September.
Such a move is coming following reporting a surge by 98 percent in the number of travelers on direct flights from Israel to India last year compared to a year earlier.
Flights are set to be run between the Israeli Ben Gurion Airport and the Indian cities, scheduling flights to Goa once a week and to Kochi twice a week.
Airbus A321neo LR will be used for the launch of the direct flights, while Israeli airline El Al will be operating them.
