More than 12 thousand women are veterans of war in Donbas

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) More than 12,000 women are veterans of the combat operations in Donbas, but there has been very little research into their problems and needs.

'There are more than 12,000 female veterans in Ukraine. Their problems and needs remain unstudied. We want to research this issue and to form certain services for women veterans on the basis of results, President of the East Europe Foundation Viktor Liakh said at a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, the problem of returning veterans to the family is very difficult so it is necessary to work with all members of such families.

The Lifeline Ukraine national telephone line for suicide prevention and mental health prevention will be integrated into other services provided to the veterans of the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, Liakh added.

Earlier, Acting Health Minister of Ukraine Ulana Suprun announced the launch of Lifeline Ukraine in partnership of the state with a nongovernmental organization.
