(MENAFN) Mozambique's President Filipe Nyusi will visit Russia, and it will be the first visit by a Mozambican head of state since 1991.
Ten visit will extend from Tuesday to Friday upon the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, affirmed the President's Office on Monday.
The statement which issued from the President's Office emphasized, "The visit to Russia is part of the consolidation and deepening of the friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries in the bilateral and international fields and is an opportunity for the definition of strategies aimed at strengthening political, economic and business relations".
During his stay in Russia, Nyusi will hold discussions with Putin hold a meeting with the Mozambican community residing in that nation, open the Mozambique-Russia business forum, in addition to visit enterprises of economic and social interest.
