German shares extended gains on Monday, the benchmark DAX index edged up 1.32 percent to set at 11,715.37 points.
The top gainer of the blue chips was the Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies, its stocks rising 3.79 percent. As for the Deutsche Bank and the European health care company Fresenius SE increased by 2.69 percent and 2.89 percent respectively.
Vonovia, a housing association, had declined the most in the blue chips, decreasing 0.49 percent. RWE energy group decreased 0.08 percent.
Bayer, Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company, was the most-traded share and had a turnover of USD272.9 million.
