Libya saves 37 refugees off its coast

The Libyan navy stated on Monday that 37 refugees were saved off the country's western coast.

Ayob Qassem, the navy's spokesman, "A search and rescue coast guards patrol received a distress call and rescued 37 illegal immigrants on a rubber boat".

The refugees were rescued around 53 miles off Khoms city coast, around 120 km to the east of Tripoli the capital.

The immigrants are of African and Arab nationalities, medical and humanitarian help was provided to them.
