Jordan- King visits Civil Defence Directorate


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 19 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, visited the Civil Defence Directorate (CDD) headquarters on Monday and checked on its services.
During the visit, King Abdullah met with CDD Director Maj. Gen. Mustafa Bazaiah and stressed the need to continue the process of developing and modernising CDD operations.
His Majesty was briefed by Maj. Gen. Bazaiah on the directorate's strategy and development plans, including opening new CDD centres in various governorates and providing them with qualified personnel and the latest equipment, in line with its mission to safeguard public safety.
The King was also shown CDD equipment and machinery used for relief and rescue, as well as the newly introduced boats used in water rescue operations.
His Majesty expressed pride in CDD personnel for their professionalism.
Adviser to His Majesty for Communication and Coordination Bisher Khasawneh accompanied His Majesty on the visit.
