Uganda: road accident kills 10 in Namutumba


(MENAFN) On Sunday, as many as 10 people were murdered direct as a result of a road accident occurred in the eastern Ugandan district of Namutumba, a police spokesperson emphasized.

James Mubi, the police spokesperson for Busoga East Region, informed Xinhua that the fatal accident involved a passenger commuter taxi and a bus at Busembatia along the Iganga-Mbale Highway.

The killed passengers were all in the taxi, while those who were in the bus are safe, according to the police.

Mubi affirmed, "The driver of the commuter taxi was attempting to overtake the bus before ramming into it".
