Explosions in Afghanistan injure 17

Attaullah Khogiani, provincial governor's spokesman in Afghanistan, said that 17 people were wounded as 6 explosive devices blew up in different parts of Jalalabad city, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province on Monday.

All of the injured were civilians and some are in critical condition, the explosions happened as the country was celebrating its 100th Independence Day amid tight security.

6 more explosive devices were found and defused by the security forces.

No activists group has claimed the attack.
