Now it is time to use these to promote the tourism industry,' said Md. Mahbub Ali, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, as the chief guest at a program organised by Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of University of Dhaka at Hotel InterContinental Dhaka on Wednesday January 30.

Islam, Dean, Faculty of Commerce, University of Dhaka (DU); Prof Badruzzaman Bhuiyan, Chairman, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, (DU) and James P. McDonald, General Manager, Hotel InterContinental Dhaka were present in the ceremony among others.
The State Minister also mentioned that many new tourist spots are being discovered now. The goal is to make all tourist destinations more attractive to domestic and foreign tourists. Saint Martin Island will be turned into paradise on earth.
'For the development of the tourism industry, we have to rise above all the constraints. We have to build the nation as a tourist-friendly one. We must ensure that the local and foreign tourists do not suffer any kind of harassment anywhere. To make their travel convenient, the value of customer service in the airports will be improved. Meanwhile, the government hotels-motels are being modernised in various tourist destinations of the country,' added Md. Mahbub Ali.
