Rise in Tokyo shares

Tokyo stocks edged up on Monday morning after U.S. and European shares increased late last week on eased global economic outlook concerns, oversold issues were bought back.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 0.52 percent to settle at 20,525.45 points.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange increased 0.41 percent setting at 1,491.44 points.

Glass and ceramics product, securities house, Oil and coal product shares were the top gainers by the morning break.
