Jordan- Gov't launches competition for three top jobs

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug.18 (Petra) -- Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson Jumana Ghunaimat said the government's move to launch a competition for filling three vacant top jobs in official media bodies is in line with the government's approach to pursue justice and transparency in appointment in top government positions.
Ghunaimat pointed out that filling the director positions in the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation, and the Jordan Media Commission, will, for the first time, happen through a transparent process open for all those qualified and experienced.
She said the move provides fair opportunities for qualified media figures to apply and compete on these vacancies, and is part of a broader drive to improve the performance of state media on the basis of empowerment, professionalism and responsibility.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, Ghunaimat called on anyone who sees him/herself qualified and has a vision of development and leadership, and meets the stated conditions, to apply for the competition.
