(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Residents in Nelum Pokunagama in Maha Induruwa staged a protest today over a drinking water issue.
The residents blocked the Colombo-Galle main road and obstructed vehicular movement during the protest.
The area residents claimed that despite several appeals their drinking water issue had not been resolved.
The protesters later dispersed after the Police assured them that they will discuss with the relevant authorities and provide a solution soon.
