Pakistan: explosion kills 5, wounds 15 in Quetta


(MENAFN) On Friday, an explosion struck a mosque in Pakistan's southwest Quetta district, resulting in the murder of five innocents and the wounding of 15 more, police affirmed.

Police emphasized that the explosion struck people after they finished their Friday prayer in a mosque in Kuli Qasim area of Kuchlak town of Quetta, the provincial capital of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province.

The bomb was put under a wooden stage used by the prayer leader and it blasted when people ended up with the prayer and were about leaving the mosque, according to police.

Police and rescue squads were sent to the location where the blast took place and transported the bodies and wounded to a hospital.
