(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) President Maithripala Sirisena today insisted that candidates contesting the upcoming Presidential election must pledge to implement the death penalty.
Speaking at an event in Polonnaruwa today, the President said that eradicating illegal drugs and implementing the death penalty must be conditions under which the next Presidential candidate is picked.
