8 trade agreements secured between Singapore, Sarawak


(MENAFN) Singapore penned eight deals with the eastern Malaysian state Sarawak that includes the imports of various goods with pork and herbal teas among them.

Both sides signed the agreements during the first Sarawak-Singapore Business Forum and Expo.

Under one of the contracts, Singapore will be receiving 130,000 live pigs from Sarawak over a three-year period.

"We plan to export 80 per cent of our live pigs to Singapore, with the rest going to the local market in Sarawak," as stated Asia Feed Mills managing director Lim Keng Huan.

Huan further added that the project is planned to cover USD55.4 million worth of investment that will be used on land and technology.
