(MENAFN) Azerbaijan achieved a 2.5 percent surge in its gross domestic product (GDP) growth during the first seven months of this year.
Economic growth in the Azerbaijani information and communications sector witnessed a 16.9 percent jump during the seven-month period.
Meanwhile, agriculture, forestry and fisheries recorded a 6.3 percent boost while tourism and catering increased by 4.3 percent on annual basis.
Trade and cars repair also registered growth by 2.9 percent with transport and storage climbing 2.65 percent, however, construction dropped by 9.1 percent.
