Bangladesh- Govt. takes BDT 1300 crore project to develop tourism industry,


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: Md Mahbub Ali, State Minister, Civil Aviation and Tourism said, 'The tourism industry of Bangladesh is an infinite source of immense possibilities. To make it one of the sources of economic progress and employment, the present government has taken up 1300 crore taka project,' in a view exchange program at Bangladesh Tourism Corporation (BPC) headquarters, Mohakhali, Dhaka on January 17 Thursday.
The money will be used for infrastructural facilities and human resources development. The mega project aims to make Bangladesh one of the best tourist destinations in Asia. Many other programmes have been adopted to brand Bangladesh in other countries.
The State Minister added, 'Tourists have seen the sea but never heard its roar. They have seen tigers but never a Royal Bengal. They have seen a lake but not the beauty of Rangamati. To let tourists witness these, the government will do everything necessary. I urge all to work with honesty and dedication to make the goal successful.'
Akhtaruzzaman Khan Kabir, Chairman, BPC presided over the view exchange program. Mohibul Haque, Secretary, Civil Aviation and Tourism spoke on the occasion as special guest.
