Qatar- QNTC's Eid activities bring families together

With just a few days left before Eid holidays and Summer in Qatar end, people trooped to different venues including cultural hubs and malls to enjoy the fun events and exciting activities.

Eid Al Adha festivities continue to dazzle visitors at Souq Waqif, Souq Al Wakrah, and Katara Cultural Village throughout Eid.  Families have enjoyed games and shows across these cultural hubs, as well as at the city's beaches, where conditions were perfect for soaking up the last of the summer holidays.  

Malls participating in Summer in Qatar kept families busy with special entertainment shows for children of all ages.

Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) Chief Marketing Officer, Rashed Al Qurese, said: 'Eid is a time for celebrating with family and friends, we at QNTC are pleased to bring people together for the holiday, as we wind down our largest summer programme.  With the collaboration of over 30 public and private sector partners in hospitality, retail and entertainment, Summer in Qatar has demonstrated the commitment across sectors to further evolve our offerings and build a sustainable tourism sector.

Mashal Shahbik from QNTC said: 'This Eid marks the end of our biggest Summer in Qatar programme, and we are thrilled to see so many people enjoying the activities on offer, especially the indoor entertainment events. The collaboration with partners across a range of entities is part of a wider strategy to diversify Qatar's tourism offerings, and develop a year-round options for visitors and residents of all cultures and ages.

In addition to unique shows and roaming activities, shoppers can still participate in the last raffle draw of the season and get a chance to win cash prizes worth a total of QR400,000 and a grand prize of a McLaren Spider 570S.

Residents and visitors continue to enjoy the last week of Summer in Qatar, which is packed with exciting entertainment events for all. A Kuwaiti play 'Khutuat Al Shaytan is showing at Qatar National Theatre until Saturday.

People can look forward to more upcoming shows this week including Blue Man Group who will entertain with their novel visual arts performance from today until Saturday.

Doha Comedy Festival will return with Omid Djalili, Nemr Abou Nassar and Hamad Al Amari tomorrow while Kadim Al Saher will charm fans on Friday and Saturday. The eighth South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) will showcase the industry's best work tomorrow and on Friday. Visitors and residents can also continue to benefit from enticing hospitality deals until Friday.
