Thailand hits USD142.97b in trade with FTA partners


(MENAFN) Thailand stood at more than USD140 billion in its bilateral trade with members of the Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) from January to June 2019.

Overall trade between Thailand and the 17 FTA partners hit USD142.97 billion during the first half of the year, with exports accounting for USD70.16 billion and imports amounting for USD72.81 billion.

During the period, Thailand reached USD53.56 billion in its trade with other nine members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

According to the Thai Department of Trade Negotiations, "automobiles and spare parts, processed oils, chemicals, jewellery and accessories, and plastic beads were the main export products from Thailand."
