Foreign ministry follows up on death of two Jordanians in Cairo, Istanbul


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 12 (Petra)-- The Foreign Ministry has been following up on the death of two Jordanian citizens in Cairo and Istanbul, Foreign Ministry Operations Director Sufian Qudah said.
Both Jordan's embassies in Cairo and Ankara are following up with concerned authorities of both countries to investigate the causes of the two incidents, Qudah added.
Initial reports, Qudah said, indicated that a 57-year-old man has suffered a stroke and died in Cairo, while a 69-year-old woman has suffered a sudden cardiac arrest.
The Jordanian Embassy in Ankara and the ministry's operations department have taken the necessary measures to transport the body of the deceased to the Kingdom, while Jordan's embassy in Cairo has taken necessary measures to bury the citizen in Egypt upon his family request, Qudah added.
