Iraq: 2 Iraqi security members killed, 5 injured in Baghdad, Diyala


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, at least two Iraqi security members murdered and five more injured as a result of two incidents occurred in the Iraqi capital Baghdad and the eastern Diyala province, security sources affirmed.

Ihsan Mohammed from Baghdad police informed Xinhua that a roadside bomb blasted on an Iraqi army's patrol in the afternoon while patrolling a highway in al-Radwaniyah area in southwestern Baghdad.

Mohammed emphasized that the blast ended up with a complete damage of a military vehicle, in addition to the murder of army officer and wounding four soldiers aboard.

In Iraq's eastern province of Diyala, a paramilitary Hashd Shaabi member was murdered and another injured when a roadside bomb, seemingly put by Islamic State (IS) militants, exploded near their vehicle close to the town of Khanaqin, around 160 km northeast of Baghdad, Alaa al-Saadi from Diyala's police informed Xinhua.
