Occidental of Oman (Oxy Oman) signed a fresh agreement with Oman Cancer Association (OCA) for its continued support for Dar al Hanan, a facility set up by OCA to accommodate families of children receiving cancer treatment within the city.
Speaking during a press meet held at the Dar al Hanan premises, Dr Wahid al Kharusi, president, OCA, said, 'This is the fourth year that Oxy Oman is extending its help to us and we are grateful for their continuous support. We, at Dar al Hanan, extend our fullest support and help to children and their families from Oman and beyond...like Yemen.'
He added that Oxy Oman has been helping by paying the rent of the two villas that are being used for Dar al Hanan. 'Oxy Oman has also extended its support to our new mammography unit. The unit screens women above 40 years of age for breast cancer threats,' he added.
Steve Kerry, president and general manager of Oxy Oman, said, 'We are happy to collaborate with Dar al Hanan in extending our support to the community. Our relationship with OCA has been fabulous and great.'
