Iraq seeks to enhance cooperation relations with China


(MENAFN) Iraqi president Barham Salih has affirmed the significance of boosting cooperation relations between Iraq and China in all sectors.

During a meeting with China's ambassador to Iraq Zhang Tao at the As Salam palace in Baghdad, Salih reaffirmed "deeply-rooted and historic relations between the two countries," emphasizing those collaboration relations between the both nations should be "expanded to serve interests of the Iraqi and Chinese peoples."

In the meantime, the Chinese ambassador expressed his nation's keenness to strengthen the volume of trade exchange between the both nations in the oil and railway sectors.

Zhang stressed, "China is keen on supporting Iraq to achieve its development goals".
