Jordan Palestine agree on boosting trade cooperation

(MENAFN - Jordan News Agency) Amman, August 1 (Petra)- Jordan and Palestine have agreed on a number of mechanisms aimed at boosting economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields, particularly in the trade domain, and working to remove impediments obstructing the two-way flow of goods.
During their meetings, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Tarek Hammouri, and the accompanying delegation, the Jordanian, and Palestinian sides stressed the importance of joint action to accelerate the pace of economic cooperation and address all obstacles, which will contribute to increasing the volume of trade exchange, and stimulating the private sector to establish investment projects in various sectors.
At talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met in Ramallah with Hammouri,President Abbas stressed the "deep-rooted" ties between the two countries in all fields, hailing Jordan's support to the Palestinian cause and the need to work intensively to promote joint trade exchange to serve interests of the two peoples.
