Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the sultanate, has taken the 2019 edition of the Al Mazyona prize draws to a new high by conducting the first Al Mazyona mid-year draw.
The special mid-year draw was held under the auspices of Sheikh Hamed al Yafaei, CEO of Strabag Oman, and was attended by Sulaiman Hamed al Harthy, group chief personal banking officer, Bank Muscat as well as other bank officials and members of the organising committee of the Salalah Tourism Festival.
The mid-year Al Mazyona draw offered over RO1.5mn in prizes and rewarded 54 lucky winners with high-value prizes ranging from RO10,000 to RO250,000. The prizes included two special prizes of RO250,000 each, two special prizes of RO100,000 each reserved for Asalah Priority Banking customers and two special prizes of RO50,000 each reserved for Al Jawhar Privilege Banking customers. Ten lucky Asalah Priority Banking customers also won RO30,000 each, while ten Al Jawhar customers won prizes of RO20,000 each in the draw. The mid-year draw also rewarded 28 regional winners with prizes of RO10,000 each.
Speaking about the bank's push to increase the savings habit in the country, Abdullah Tamman al Mashani, DGM – Institutional Sales and Product Development, Bank Muscat, said, 'For over 25 years, Al Mazyona has rewarded numerous customers and enriched their lives. Bank Muscat is pleased to conduct the first mid-year Al Mazyona draw with over RO1.5mn on offer. With a total of RO10mn to be won throughout the year, Al Mazyona is designed to transform the lives of prudent savers.'
He added, 'The 2019 Al Mazyona scheme has introduced many other prizes too in recognition of loyalty, salary transfer and the youth segment. A special prize draw offering RO2,000 each for 50 winners from 14 regions will be held in celebration of Eid al Adha. An exclusive draw for Zeinah women customers coinciding with the Omani Women's Day in October is another highlight in which 50 women customers will be rewarded with RO2,000 each. On the occasion of the sultanate's 49th National Day, 49 lucky winners will win RO3,000 each in a special draw that will be held in November. The bank has also earmarked RO500 each for 50 winners for the Omani Youth Day in October.'
Oman's flagship savings scheme, which has the largest prize money on offer in the country at RO10mn for the fourth year running, continues to reward a prudent and financially responsible savings habit among millions of customers. It offers Asalah Priority Banking customers a chance to win ten monthly prizes of RO20,000 each and ten special year-end prizes of RO30,000 each as well two special prizes of RO100,000.
Bank Muscat is also currently promoting Al Jawhar Privilege Banking, which offers preferential treatment and fast track service in over 90 Bank Muscat branches. Speaking about the currently ongoing Why Al Jawhar campaign, Abdulnasir al Raisi, DGM - Premier Banking, Bank Muscat, said, 'We are very happy with the strong response from our customers to this special campaign, which explains to them the advantages of having Bank Muscat's Al Jawhar Privilege Banking. We are happy to offer this exclusive banking experience to all customers with a monthly salary of at least RO1,000 or a savings deposit of RO10,000 or more.'
Al Jawhar Privilege Banking customers have a chance to win a fixed salary prize of RO500 every month for a year as well as other exclusive Al Mazyona prizes like exclusive monthly prize draws of RO10,000 each for ten customers, special year-end prizes of RO20,000 each for ten winners and RO50,000 each for two customers.
The new Al Mazyona mid-year draw was conducted during the Salalah Tourism Festival as part of the many events celebrating Oman's Renaissance Day and featured performances by a number of traditional arts groups.
